POSITION OVERVIEW The Account Executives are responsible for managing their territories to increase market penetration via new clients as well as selling new solutions into existing client facilities. Account Executives prospect for undiscovered business opportunities, respond to leads and requests for proposals, guide prospective clients through the vendor selection and contract negotiation process and do periodic wellness checks with existing clients. Representations at various trade shows and association member meetings are also a primary responsibility.
The position offers a competitive base salary with a generous commission and bonus structure.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develops prospects to increase sales.
2. Leverages leads and RFPs to increase sales.
3. Completes RFPs with the assistance of Internal Sales Support.
4. Maintains and expands existing Client relationships.
5. Represents api software, inc. at industry conferences and events.
6. Meet and exceed established sales goals.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES Prefer a Bachelor Degree or equivalent relevant experience. Individual must be detail oriented, well organized with strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point a must. The position requires the ability to interact professionally with clients and prospective clients as well as api employees. Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize workload. Must be able to handle confidential information.

Essential Responsibilities:
· Oversee day-to-day operations including general accounting, fixed assets, accounts payable, bank account reconciliations, inventory accounting and other related functions.
· Establish policies and procedures to improve efficiency in department operations including implementing new procedures/systems to maximize efficiency and profitability throughout the company.
· Manage and coordinate monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing process, balance sheet, and financial statements.
· Ensure reports are maintained within regulatory guidelines and oversee their timely and accurate filing
· Account Reconciliations
· Participate in Annual Audits with independent accounting auditors, insurance auditors, and on occasion, tax auditors.
· Inventory:Ensure that proper procedures are in place and being followed in order to ensure the ongoing accuracy. Participate in annual physical inventory and make necessary adjustments to inventory based on verified counts.
· Complete other special projects and assignments that support company-wide goals and objectives.
· Assist with development and implementation of long-term strategic business plans.
· Communicate with CFO any relevant information relating to corporate financial matters.
· Lead and develop a dedicated team including Accounts Receivable and Payable staff
· Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal groups on matters such as automation and process improvement, training, conversions, internal audits, etc.
· Remain knowledgeable on current accounting and regulatory issues.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
· Requires a 4-year degree in Accounting or Finance
· CPA or CMA Certification preferred but not required.
· Minimum of 8 years accounting experience with 3 years supervisory experience
· Strong knowledge of GAAP
· Experience with Navision is preferred.
· Advanced knowledge of Excel spreadsheet software.
· Experience in a software or technology firm is preferred.

Create compelling and accurate content for RFP/RFI’s to ensure that all proposals and accompanying materials are error-free and submitted on time.

Ensure that proposals are well-executed in format, language, and content and that the client requirements and guidelines have been fully satisfied and exceeded where at all possible.

Develop broad knowledge of API’s product and service offerings.

Work with other departments to create standard and custom responses for RFP’s using input from approved company materials as well as by collaborating with Subject Matter Experts, Account Executives, Sales, Marketing and others. This includes updating and maintaining a RFP database on an ongoing basis.

Create strategy-specific content for newly launched products and services with focus on accurate and compelling responses to RFP questions.

Assist with the on-going effort to bring discipline to the processes and procedures around the creation of sales and marketing content for proposals.

Monitor, track and report RFP activity, including metrics such as geographic distribution, product scope, revenue potential and success rate.
